The house is in tatters and empty, slightly depressing; but I'm very excited to get this adventure underway!!
My last day of work at the state prison will be May 30th, Mike's is June 2nd. On June 3rd we will be on the road to Yellow Pine and our new life. He has a job with Core One, a drilling company that is up at Stibnite mine drilling core samples for consideration for reopening the mine. A few months ago we were visiting friends in Yellow Pine (we own a little piece of property on the opposite side of town on the south fork of the east fork of the Salmon river from town, yup, those are real directions, it's right on the edge of the famous best-white-water-rapids-in-the-west Salmon River!) and we found out about the possibility of Stibnite mine reopening. We were already planning on moving on anyway, it just seemed everything fell right into place. Mike got a job offer, we bought the 5th wheel, got a renter for the house, and now we are packing up and selling off what we don't need; a very liberating feeling, especially knowing that you are doing it because you have to. There is no room for material items that will do nothing to help you survive in the place we are going to. You laugh....just keep reading.
